This Renaissance gem, located near Netolice, was built at the end of the sixteenth century as a hunting lodge by the powerful William of Rosenberg. Its architecture represents an exceptional example of a rural noble residence, which was inspired by Italian models and brings Mediterranean lightness to the Czech landscape. Thanks to the fact that in later times it remained outside the attention of other owners, such as the Eggenbergs or the Schwarzenbergs, it has been preserved almost in its original form from the time of its creation. Visitors can thus admire the authentic Rosenberg atmosphere and details that have survived centuries. Today, the chateau is managed by the National Heritage Institute and is accessible to the general public, who can glimpse into the life of Renaissance nobility here.
