Originally a Gothic fortress, later modified in the Renaissance style, it transformed into an impressive Baroque residence. Its current appearance is the result of a radical reconstruction at the beginning of the 18th century, designed for František Josef Černín by the renowned architect František Maxmilián Kaňka. The chateau is surrounded by one of the oldest and most extensive English parks in Bohemia, founded at the end of the 18th century, which invites you to romantic strolls. This architectural gem, managed by the National Heritage Institute, was declared a national cultural monument for its exceptional value.
