This unique chateau was built between the years 1839 and 1857 for Count František Arnošt of Harrach, on a "green meadow," which is unusual in the Czech context. Its architecture in the English Gothic style, often compared to England's Windsor, creates the impression that you are in nineteenth-century England. The chateau's interiors are richly decorated and preserve valuable collections of period furniture and art objects, brought from various corners of Europe. Visitors can explore several tour routes, including a special children's tour with the countess, and enjoy the extensive English park. The chateau is also a popular backdrop for filmmakers, and in the year 2001, it was declared a national cultural monument.
