On Castle Square in Teplice, an architectural complex unfolds, carrying centuries of captivating history within its walls. Its foundations date back to the Middle Ages, when a monastery originally stood here. This monastery was rebuilt into a fortified castle during the fifteenth century, which initiated the complex architectural development of the entire site. The current appearance of the complex thus reflects several historical epochs. Due to its extraordinary value and unique atmosphere, this residence has been inscribed on the list of protected cultural monuments of the Czech Republic since 1958.
