The summer and hunting residence was built between 1585 and 1590 by Nicholas the Elder of Bubna on the site of an original medieval fortress. The facades, courtyard, and chimneys are covered with a continuous sgraffito pattern left behind by Italian Renaissance artists. During the tour of the interiors, you will walk from the servants' quarters to the representative Mirror Hall or the chapel, whose walls are decorated with mythological frescoes and Baroque emblems. The grounds, which also featured in the movie Bathory, include a large English park, Grandma's Yard with domestic animals, and a former granary housing a tramping museum. Since 2020, the estate has also been enlivened by its own biodynamic winery.
