This vanished rock castle, whose modest remains are now protected as a cultural monument, can be found in the picturesque surroundings of Teplice nad Metují. It was probably established during the fourteenth century, when it served an important role as a watchpoint. Its garrison was tasked with overseeing the safety of the trade route of that time, leading towards Adršpach. However, life at this fortified residence did not last long, as it ceased to exist even before the middle of the fifteenth century. Today, this place in the national nature reserve primarily attracts lovers of romantic atmosphere and history, who can contemplate the past here amidst wild nature.
