On the western edge of Slatiňany, separated from the center by the Chrudimka River, lies one of the 20 national cultural monuments of the Pardubice Region. This most significant building in the town is surrounded by an expansive park and garden, forming a picturesque ensemble. The chateau itself captivates with its three-winged, U-shaped ground plan, to which another wing was later added on the northwestern side. It underwent its most significant architectural transformations in the 19th century, when the princely Auersperg family contributed to its present appearance. Today, the chateau and its adjacent park are managed by the National Heritage Institute and are fully accessible to the public.
