Near Krásná Lípa in the Děčín District, the picturesque landscape of the Šluknov Hills unfolds, where the Gothic Krásný Buk Castle once stood on a granite spur above the Křinice River. Its foundations were laid at the end of the thirteenth century, making it a witness to the region's early medieval history. However, fate was not kind to Krásný Buk; it was abandoned already in the first half of the fourteenth century, which lends it a mysterious and melancholic atmosphere. Today, mainly terrain relics and small fragments of masonry remain, carefully protected as a cultural monument. A walk among these remains offers a unique opportunity to glimpse into the distant past and imagine life at this strategic location.
