Welcome to Hořovice Chateau, an early Baroque residence that was built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries by the Bruntálský of Vrbno family. This prominent family resided here for six generations, before the estate passed into the hands of the Hessian Elector and subsequently the Princes of Hanau in the mid-19th century. Over the centuries, the chateau underwent a series of modifications that shaped its current appearance, with the last significant adaptations taking place just before the Second World War. Today, this national cultural monument is managed by the National Heritage Institute, and its gates are open to the public. Visitors can admire not only the historical interiors but also the extensive chateau park, and the chateau also comes alive with the hosting of various social events.
