The original fortress of the Prague bishops acquired its present appearance after a devastating fire in 1547, when the Lobkowicz family had it rebuilt into a representative residence. Since the complex avoided later Baroque alterations, it offers a rarely complete example of Renaissance architecture. During the tour, you will walk through authentic interiors mapping the lifestyle of the nobility from the sixteenth to the early twentieth century. The oldest and most valuable space is the Early Gothic Chapel of the Holy Trinity with intact ribbed vaults. The experience is complemented by the adjacent landscaped park with ponds, a viewing gloriet, and a Loreto chapel.
