This medieval castle was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries by members of the Hroznata family, who later took their name from this very seat. Although the Lords of Gutštejn preferred more comfortable residences from the 15th century onwards, they kept the castle until the mid-16th century. After it was annexed to the Bezdružice estate, it lost its significance and began to fall into irreversible decay. Its final ruin was then completed by the Thirty Years' War. Today, this protected cultural monument attracts visitors with its mysterious atmosphere in the middle of the forested Plasy Hills. The freely accessible area offers a view of the well-preserved remains of castle architecture towering on a rocky promontory.
